On 7th January 2016, I kicked off the year with Emily & Mitch’s Hunter Valley wedding.
The weather leading up to Emily & Mitchell’s Hunter Valley wedding day had been nothing short of crazy with flooding and torrential rain non-stop. The morning of the wedding came and surprisingly the rain had cleared overnight and the weather was looking perfect! The ceremony was held at a small rural sandstone church in Mount Vincent, a short drive from Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. The bride arrived in style, pulling up to the chapel in a vintage Rolls Royce Princess limousine, accompanied by both her Father & Mother.
Emily wore a beautiful Jonathon James Couture dress, her bouquet was cream roses with lavender and babys breath which tied it all together. With all the bridesmaids in lavender dresses & bouquets of babys breath. Mitch and the groomsmen were suited in 3 piece Charcoal suits from Reuben F Scarf, Newcastle. Each of these elements complimented the overall rustic/vintage styling of the day perfectly.
From the ceremony we made our way to Peppers Convent for the bridal party location shots. The long driveway leading up to the house made for some incredible shots of the Rolls Royce.
We spent a bit of time making our way around the grounds of Peppers Convent before then making our way to the reception venue, Peterson House Pokolbin. Upon arriving we made our way through the vines, creating some great images. The reception was perfect, with great entertainment supplied by Mobile Millenium DJs – http://mmdjs.com.au/
Just before sunset Emily, Mitch and I made our way outside to capture the golden light as the sun set across the vines & reflected on the glass-like surface of the small lake on the property.
The sky was full of vibrant oranges, purples and golden tones. Emily & Mitchell were blessed big time with such a flawless sunset. The perfect way to cap off their wedding day!
